LEONA DECELLES (nee ROCAN) 1924 - 2009 Peacefully at Villa Youville on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the age of 85 years Léona Marie Octavia (Rocan) Decelles passed away. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Emilien, of 61 years of marriage, one daughter Yolande, two sons Raymond (Jeannette Lajeunesse), Luc (Diane Champagne), 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Lina, Louise, Rose and brother Louis. She is predeceased by her parents Emery Rocan and Orméline Fillion, one daughter Doris in infancy, one son Ronald in 1975, one grandchild Lucien, her twin brother Léo, brothers Lionel, Laurent, her sisters Marie-Rose, Jeanne, Alice and Delphine. Léona and Emilien were married in 1947; they lived in La Broquerie for most of their married years, where they raised their family as well. Léona loved nature. She enjoyed sitting on her swing, listening to the night sounds, especially the frogs. She loved tending to her large garden and canning everything for her family. Léona was a good mother and a good cook. She took care of her family and in her last years Villa Youville took very good care of her. Special thanks to all staff, Dr Richard Duval and Dr. Bissonnette and to Sr. Irène Rioux and Sr. Marguerite Forest. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at Saint-Joachim Roman Catholic in La Broquerie, MB with viewing at 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
