Greatly loved by daughter Dr. Ellen Guttormson (Bob Glazier); grandchildren, Dr. Lee Glazier (Leigh), Erin, Gillian and Cameron Glazier; daughter Jean McLean, grandchildren, Tracy McLean-Smith (Geoff) and Scott McLean (Chiho); great-grandchildren, Desiree, Keely, Kento and Eri; brother Mike Guttormson; sisters, Agnes Lang (Bill), Anna Forgey (Don), Lu Rebizant (Joe) and Diane Gard (Charlie). Predeceased by wife Mabel in 1977; parents Oddur and Gudny Guttormson; sister Bjorg Elliott and brother Thor Guttormson. Herman was born and raised on the family farm in Husavick, Manitoba. He served with the PPCLI in England during the Second World War, where he met his future bride Mabel. Together with their daughters, they made their home on Vancouver Island. At Herman's request there will be no service. Donations may be made in Herman's memory to Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation, Extended Care Unit 2166 Mt.
