Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryENID ANNA DUGAS Surrounded by the love of her three daughters and their families, Enid began the next phase of her life on March 26, 2009. Mom was born on her grandparent's farm near Inwood, MB on August 12, 1927 to Emil and Hildur Enberg. She grew up on a farm a few miles down the road, the oldest of five children. After finishing high school, Mom moved into Winnipeg and began working at The Bay in the post office. She moved on to work in the cash office at Eaton's for many years, retiring in 1992. She made many friends there, many of whom she still met for lunch every month. On June 13, 1953, Enid married Rocky Dugas. They spent nearly 33 happy years together before he passed away in April, 1986. Rocky and Enid had three girls whom they raised in Windsor Park. She is survived by Deborah (Tom) Bacon, Norine (Harvey) Hochkievich and Christine (Carl) Kurdziel. She had six grandchildren, Amanda (Greg), David (Nicole), Rob (Jen), Daniel, Carlene and Kyla as well as four great-grandchildren, Brody, Morgan, Alexandria, and Thomas. Mom was very lucky to be active and healthy right up to the last before she became ill. She was so happy to be able to stay in her house where she had lived for almost 50 years and able to look after herself. She loved to work in her garden and took much pride in the flowers she grew. Mom always made friends easily and enjoyed visiting. A special thank you to Joyce who was mom's dear friend since their school days. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Road. A private interment will follow at a later date. Heartfelt thanks to the St. Boniface General Hospital Emergency Room as well as the nurses and staff in the Palliative Care Unit. You are all special angels who bring much caring and comfort to people and their families at a very difficult time. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO. Ken and I can only imagine what a wonderful Mother and Grandmother Mrs. Dugas must have been, since Noreen is the sweetest and nicest woman we know. We were so sorry to hear of your Mom's death, Noreen, and feel the pain you must be experiencing. Losing a Mother just shouldn't happen and leaves a huge hole in your hearts, forever. Please know that all your friends from the present and past, wish you much love and hope that the wonderful memories of your special Mom soon replace the pain.
