Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRED YOUNG April 4, 1920 - March 12, 2009 Born April 4, 1920 in Calgary to Anna Barbara Young and Frank R. Young. Educated in Calgary, graduated Western Canada High School 1939. In 1939 joined The Royal Canadian Service Corps and served in Canada, England, North Africa, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Returned to Canada 1946 and discharged. Came to Winnipeg 1949 and married Dorothy Rose Russell, R.N. The same year 1949 joined The Pioneer Grain Company Ltd., retired 1985 as a supervisor. Was a long-time member of St. Matthew's Anglican Church where he served as Treasurer, Envelope Secretary, on the Vestry. Was a long-time member of Melrose Camp Sons of Scotland where on two different occasions was Chief. Survived by his wife Dorothy Rose and a half-sister Barbara of Carstairs and her family. Service Friday April 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, 641 St. Matthews Avenue, 774-1846.
