WALLY REGUSH June 23, 1942 - March 21, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wally Regush on March 21, 2009. Wally is survived by his daughter Kelly (Keith), grandchildren Ashley and Dylan, daughter-in-law Colleen, brother Harvey (Maxine) and many family and friends. Wally was predeceased by his wife Eleanor, son Bruce and his parents Sam and Mary. Eleanor was the love of his life. He missed her immensely after her death but there was always a smile and twinkle in his eye when we talked of her. Dad was devastated by the passing of Bruce but took comfort in knowing he was with his mom. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. Memories of camping, travelling, hanging by the pool will always be cherished. Ashley and Dylan loved their Grampy, he was a fixture in their life. On summer days we would hear the rumble of the Harley and they would come running for their daily visit. Dad had a love for life. He was known for telling a good story of growing up in the good old days. He always remembered his time playing with the Richmond Kings Old Timers, our camping trips to Falcon Lake and the lasting friendships made. Quality workmanship and Wally's name went hand in hand. Building was his passion; he enjoyed every stage of building a house. Later in his career he took great pride and pleasure in creating Winder Woodworks with his son. They worked side by side as a team for over 20 years which made a father proud. Wally became an avid pool player and enjoyed all his evenings spent at the pool hall or at home shooting a game with his friends. He made a great number of friends on all the teams he played with. His summers were spent cruising on his Harley popping in to see his family and friends along his journeys. He also loved to spend time out on the boat fishing or taking the grandkids down the Red for ice cream at the Forks. Dad, you taught me well, live life with no regrets. We will miss you. We love you. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Wally's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3E 0V9.
