RONALD MCTAGGART It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald McTaggart, on Wednesday, March 25th, 2009, at the age of 55 years, after a courageous battle with complications from heart disease and diabetes. At his passing, he was surrounded by his loving family. Remaining to forever treasure Ronald's memory are his beloved wife, Daisy; his son Alex of Winnipeg; his son Ian (and partner Ernestine) of Edmonton, AB and his daughter Misty (and partner Jay) of Summerland, BC. He also leaves his sister Pat (and husband A.J.) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his sister Margaret of Wahnapitae, ON; brother Vic (and wife Sharon) of Chelmsford, ON; his brothers and sisters in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, and many good friends. Ron was the youngest of five children and often fondly reminisced about his days growing up; first in Hanmer, ON, and then Skead, ON - at his parent's home on the edge of Lake Wahnapitae. Ron was an extremely kind and generous man. He had a heart of gold - so willing to help anyone. He had such a passion for cars, particularly Corvettes, and had such an incredible knowledge of everything automotive. He also had a passion for boats and fishing and his beloved pets - he developed such bonds with his beloved cats and dogs! His working history includes working on the railway, underground mining in various locations in Canada, automotive sales in Winnipeg, transport truck driving and, as a transport truck owner-operator. His truck driving took him all over North America, but Canada and Alaska were his favorite regions. We would like to say special thank you to the many doctors and specialists who have helped him so much in the past few years, in particular Dr. C. Isaac, Dr. Woo and Dr. R. Guzman. As per Ron's request, cremation has taken place. A private service for family and close friends will be held.
