PHYLLIS MAY WICKENS (nee Harrington) October 28, 1924 - March 27, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Phyllis, at the age of 84 years. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Tom in September 1987. She is survived by her sons Bill (Judy), Gary (Colleen), Bob (Linda) and her daughter, Kim Fines, as well as her cherished nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Phyllis was born in Winnipeg and lived all but the first two years of her life in West Kildonan. She met Tom while they were both working at Bulman Bros., and they were married on December 4, 1948. Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Taking care of her family was her number one priority. Phyllis had a zest for life, and she enjoyed socializing with family and friends, travelling, bowling, and watching sports on TV. A memorial service will take place at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later time.
