Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryILONA (HELEN) MARTON (nee SCHMIDT) In the early morning of March 30, 2009, our courageous mother began her journey home. Born October 30, 1934 in Petrozsen, Romaina, immigrating to Canada and settling in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1959. Our mother (anyu) was a hard working seamstress and tailor retiring in 1998 from Manitoba Clothing. She took great pride in her family and home. She enjoyed needle point, cooking, fishing, going to the casino, gardening and family gatherings. The last few years became especially difficult for her yet her strong will and love of life enabled her to enjoy the simple pleasures. Spending time with her daughters, Eva St. George and Betty Nagel (Rory); grandchildren, Ken St. George (Christine), Angela Wickman (Andrew) and Amanda Nagel; great-grand-children, Jeremy and Courtney St. George and newest addition Tyson Wickman. She will also be dearly missed by her sister Natalia (Roger) Eyolafson; nephews, Joe, Josh (Tracy) and Vincent; great-niece Jana and great-nephew Chaz. Her loving K-9 companion Sadie will miss being by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert Schmidt, Frank and Maria Mojzner; husbands, Istvan Krenyoczi and Lajos Marton; and grandmother Ilona Paulik. The family would like to express gratitude to Lucy and Val for all their care, the staff at the ICU units in Seven Oaks, St. Boniface and Concordia Hospital and special thank you to nurse Chris for his compassion. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Nothing is so sweet as life Nothing is more precious than time Nothing more reassuring than the touch of earth and grass The sound of voices and bird song This life for me is truly past I've loved you all to the very last Weep not for me but courage take And love one another for my sake.
