RITA GERTRUDE MARQUIS (nee ROY) October 20, 1923 - March 31, 2009 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at the St Pierre Hospital in St Pierre, Manitoba. Rita was called to rest in His care, after a long and inspirational life devoted to family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Albert in 1994 and by her sister Olive, brothers Raymond, Gerard, Philippe, and Roger. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lucie and her sons: Lionel (Gloria), Gerald and Denis (Laurie); also grandchildren Gregory, Michelle, Charmaine, Kristine, Jaclyn and Diane, as well as her five great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and aides at the St Pierre Hospital for all of their care and compassion shown to mom in her final days. Mass will be celebrated at the St Pierre Roman Catholic Church in St Pierre, Manitoba on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the De Salaberry Health Centre Foundation Inc., Box 320, St Pierre, Manitoba R0A 1V0.
