Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM KLASSEN After a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer, we announce with profound sadness the passing of William on March 30, 2009 with family at his side. He was born in Nikolaital, Ukraine on April 9, 1930. He immigrated to Canada in 1947 and eventually settled in Winnipeg. There he met and married Eva Penner the love of his life; she predeceased him October 2, 1999. He is survived by his three children, Annemarie (Lloyd), Richard (Pam), Paul (Barb) and his grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew and Brenden along with his two brothers, Peter (Annie), John (Anne) and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of William's life with family and friends will take place on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach, MB.
