MAUREEN LYNN COLBERT (nee RILEY) December 14, 1956 - March 31, 2009 It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Maureen was born a free spirit in Winnipeg and had an entrepreneurial gift. Her successful business endeavours led her to Calgary where she spent 16 years. She met Eric in Calgary where they married and together they returned to Manitoba. Maureen took on the role of a foster parent where she cared for teenage girls. Maureen is the beloved daughter of Al Riley and Patricia Silvari (Domenico). Sister to Gail (Ed), Rick, Murray, Joanne, Donna (Ivan), Corrine (Steve), Ron, Yolanda (Nick), Wade (Deanna), aunt and great-aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Maureen was predeceased by her sister Debbie Vincent. Maureen spent many joyous hours with her two poodles, Ly Ling and Kyro and was an avid supporter of the World Wildlife Federation. Funeral service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, on Monday, April 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., with viewing at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to World Wildlife Federation.
