ROBERT (BOB) LATOURELLE Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, Robert LaTourelle passed away at Grace Hospital on April 2, 2009, at the age of 77. He was predeceased by his parents Lucien and Delia LaTourelle and his sisters Lorraine Guertin and Yvonne Lonergan. He will be dearly missed by Rosemary, his wife of 46 years, daughters, Michele (Ken Leslie), Diane, Bobbi (Tom Standing) and grandchildren, Keira, Gianna, Brittney, Spencer, Carissa and Brooke. Bob was a man of great faith, strength, courage and determination. Throughout his life, he showed his kindness, understanding, thoughtfulness and wonderful sense of humour. His career started in the payroll department at The Canadian Pacific Railway. Bob then enjoyed 13 years with Stafford Foods in sales and management positions. After this, he left the food industry and began working in the retail and wholesale clothing industry. He returned to the food industry and was especially proud of spearheading and developing Canada Safeway's independent food division. After 13 years with Canada Safeway, Bob retired. Every winter, Bob and Rosemary travelled south to Florida where they created wonderful friendships and memories. When they were not in Florida they spent their time cruising many beautiful destinations around the world. Bob was a very loving, caring, generous husband, father, grandfather and friend. His family was always his first priority. We spent many hours around the dinner table laughing and enjoying each others company. Bob's grandchildren were the apple of his eye. He loved providing them with endless treats such as homemade fudge, milkshakes and candy. He also enjoyed joking with them and playing cards. The funeral services will be held at Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Avenue at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Reception to follow at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 100-1465 Buffalo Place. You will always be in our hearts and memories, never forgotten. We love you. Send expressions of sympathy to www.mem.com
