PHYLLIS VIOLA CASSIDY January 7, 1925 - April 3, 2009 It is with heavy hearts that Phyllis's family announces her sudden passing in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Blythe Pester (Don) and Donna Hlady; grandchildren, Thomas, Kelley, Richard, Krystle, Chad, and James. She joins in heaven her two sons, Dale and Tom Barnecki. Phyllis competed for many years for the Winnipeg Roller Skating Rink in roller dance. She cherished many summers at Falcon Lake with her family. She was an avid bowler, golfer and also passionate about crocheting, reading, and crossword puzzles. The family would like to sincerely thank nurses, Nicole and Natasha as well as Dr. Humpreys at St. Boniface Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. A celebration of her life will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, R3T OR3.
