Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBRIAN RICHARD LAMB It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather (papa), and brother Brian Richard Lamb Sr. of Lockport, MB. With his family by his side, at the Health Sciences Centre, Dad passed away on April 3rd, 2009 at the young age of 68. Dad was predeceased by his father Jack Lamb at a young age, parents Walter and Rose Kulchyski in 2003, father-in-law John Safiniuk and recently brother-in-law Alfred Coumont. In Dad's passing he leaves to mourn his loving wife and soulmate Shirley of 40 years, children Kimball (Brenda), Melissa (Rob), Brian (Brenda), Amanda (Chris), his beloved grandchildren Michael, Brandon, Tyler, Tre, Devon, Kyla, Jaspar and future grandson Diego. Dad leaves his sisters Virginia Coumont, Lois Moffatt (Brian), Pat Wur (Mick) and brother Bill Lamb (Lorraine), mother-in-law Lil Safiniuk and in-laws George, Linda, and Diane Bowser (Bryan). Dad leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, dear friends and four-legged companion Roxy. Throughout his life, he lived in British Columbia and Chicago but returned to his birthplace of Winnipeg and called it home. Dad expressed his talent towards his career in auto painting - from basic claims to custom auto painting. He enjoyed watching and playing baseball, and took pride in being a coach and umpire for girls softball. Some of his enjoyments were tinkering with his Impalas, yard work, visiting his Lady Friend Lil for coffee and spending his retirement with Shirley. Dad's main love was his family; he was always there to lend a helping hand or shoulder to lean on. Dad will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. May he rest in peace knowing that all his love, compassion and wisdom will live in our hearts forever. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 10:30 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, MB with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Selkirk and District General Hospital's Palliative Care Program. Special thanks to the Health Professionals at Health Sciences Centre and Selkirk District General Hospital for their compassion with Dad and his family. Dad often expressed how much he enjoyed the meals at Selkirk District General Hospital. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
