PAULINE (POLLY) LOEPP December 1, 1929 April 5, 2009 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Loepp in the arms of her family, on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the age of 79 years. Remaining to cherish Pauline's memory are her three children: Cindy (Wayne) Simpson, Diane (Steve) Rosteski, Rudy (Elizabeth) Loepp; four grandchildren, David (Lisa) Noble, Jennifer (Chris) Myers, Ashley Loepp, Julia Loepp; great-grandchild Madeline Myers; three sisters, Mary Sholdak, Jennie Gutoski, Nellie Tanchuk, and brother Bill Porrok; sister-in-law Margaret Wiebe, brother-in-law Peter Loepp, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Rudy in 1980, her sisters Annie Levandoski, Alice Hancharyk, and brother Mike Porrok, as well as brothers-in-law Conn Loepp and Bill Wiebe. Pauline was raised in Eden, MB, the youngest of eight children. As a young woman she came to work in Winnipeg where she met and married the love of her life, Rudy. Following his death she returned to work and proudly earned her Health Care Aide certificate. She made her husband, children, and grandchildren the priority and center of her life. We will treasure her always, and are poorer for her leaving. She welcomed everyone into her heart and home. She will be missed for her cooking, especially her home made buns and Russian borscht. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., in the St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, 590 Alverstone St., Winnipeg, Manitoba with Rev. Fr. Nestor Yakiwchuk, presiding. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue. Special thanks go out to Sylvia, her home care aide and friend, Greg Wells for his friendship after the loss of her husband, as well as her snow angel/neighbour Stuart Marshall. The family would also like to thank the ICU staff at Concordia Hospital with a special thanks to Dr. Strumpher. She will live forever in our hearts and memories because of the legacy of love that she built. If friends and family so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3T 0R3 or to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3A 1P6.
