ORVAL CARL PETERSON It is with great sorrow that we mourn the passing of Orval Carl Peterson, who went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 4, 2009. Orval was born September 9, 1926 in Climax, Saskatchewan and grew up in Frontier, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his parents Eline and Peter Peterson and by his older sister, Marjorie Arubuthnott (Wood). Orval leaves to mourn his wife Maisie (Mary); son Brent (Janelle); and grandchildren Lauren and Joel, whom he dearly loved, as well as nieces Carol McCowen and Marilyn (Lew) Adkins and nephew Don (Gail)Wood and their families. Orval retired in 1991 after many years with the Manitoba Department of Co-operative Development. He was an active member in Calvary Temple and continued to curl and golf until recently. Services will be held at the Buntain Chapel at Calvary Temple 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2009. Bardal Funeral Home in care of arrangements. We have the fondest memories of Orv and especially how proud his sister Marjorie was of her "baby" brother. Her face always lit up when she talked about him and recalled many happy times together. Marj was our stepmother and always made us feel as if we were part of the Peterson/Wood family.
