MARY OSTRYZNIK Peacefully with family by her side, Mary Ostryznik passed away on April 4, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Mary will be remembered as a very loving, devoted mother, grandmother, sister. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, her parents Dan and Nellie Pollock, and by her brother Mike Pollock. She is survived by her son Dan Ostryznik (Marilyn) of Calgary, three daughters Fran Grift (Larry), Joanne King (Jim), Diana Reimer (Ernie); six grandchildren; Sherri, Pam, Janet, Jeff, Chris, Carla; seven great-grandchildren; brother Mervin Pollock, and special friend Albert Porter. She enjoyed travelling to places such as Hawaii, Cuba, especially Las Vegas. When she could no longer travel Club Regent became her Las Vegas. Mary adored her grandchildren and whenever she saw them they brightened up her day. She was a member of Ladies Auxilliary of the Transcona Legion for 40 years. She loved gardening and flowers. Mary's life was her family and her most cherished moments were those spent at family gatherings. She will be greatly missed and forever loved. Pallbearers will be her six grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Tuxedo Villa and Dr. Ron George at Grace Hospital for their kindness and support. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire, memorial donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Green Acres Funeral Home with interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
