Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE B. KEHLER of Winnipeg, MB August 12, 1924 - April 6, 2009 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of their beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend. Greatly loved by his son Richard, his fiancée Deborah, her daughter Alexandria; son Robert, his wife Kelly, and his pride and joy his two grandchildren, T.J. and Nicole. He will be missed by his brothers Abe and Frank (Ontario) and his sisters Marie and Sally, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Anna, his father Jacob and mother Anna. George worked at the Health Sciences Centre for 31 years and was a hard working and dedicated employee. He retired in 1982 and enjoyed life and spending time with his family and friends. George will always be remembered for being an awesome grandfather and for expressing his love for his family. George was a warm and caring person who grew more tender and loving as he aged. He loved fishing, gardening, and when he was much younger, playing hockey. George was always happiest when he was being visited by family and friends and being given the opportunity to share memories from his youth. George had a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. George will truly be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to come to know this kind and gentle soul. We the family would like to thank the support staff at the Misericordia Care Home nurses for all their care. Special thanks to nurses Anna Shugida, Caroline and all of the staff who cared for George. Say not in grief that he is no more, But say in thankfulness that he was. For those wishing, donations in George's memory can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association. Service and a light luncheon will be held at Reinland Mennonite Church in Altona, Manitoba on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 2:30 pm. Wiebe's Funeral Home, Altona MB in care of arrangements.
