Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY JOYCE (ASHTON) CHAPMAN June 28, 1918 - April 5, 2009 Born West Shefford (Bromont), Quebec, daughter of Mary Anne (Purdy) and W. Percy Ashton, sister of Marjory Madge . Former wife of Dr. Neil Chapman. Survived by her loving daughters Jennifer Chapman (Peter Feniak) and Martha Chapman (John Lupien) and treasured grandsons Christopher and Jay Feniak. Special grand-memèreman to Océane Lupien Lorquet. Joyce will be forever in our hearts. A graduate of Queen's University, Joyce taught history and English at Westmount High School in Montreal for several years. Later, she became an active volunteer with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Ladies' Auxiliary, a golfer, bridge player and member of the Shawinigan Club. Joyce was a warm and caring friend to many she knew while residing in Granby, Baltimore, Montreal West, Winnipeg, Victoria and Toronto. Fondly remembered as an avid reader, follower of politics and engaging conversationalist who loved a sense of style in fashion, and in life. The family would like to thank the staff of Leaside Residence for their years of care and concern. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Osteoporosis Society www.osteoporosis.ca would be appreciated. Condolences welcomed at etouch.ca
