MARCELO DEGUZMAN January 31, 1961 - April 7, 2009 Peacefully on Tuesday April 7, 2009 with his family by his side, Marcelo DeGuzman passed away at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 48 years. Marcelo was predeceased by his father Avelino DeGuzman and sister Soledad DeGuzman. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Emelita DeGuzman, daughter Jenneline (Erwin) Mendoza, son Jefferson DeGuzman of Winnipeg, mother Felicisima DeGuzman of the Philippines and brother Martin DeGuzman of the Middle East. Marcelo was born on January 31, 1961 in Talisay Batangas, Philippines. In July 2005, he immigrated to Canada and worked at Hunter Wire on Logan Ave for four years. Our extended gratitude goes to the staff at Riverview Health Centre (3East). A special thanks to his relatives, friends, and co-workers in Winnipeg and in the Philippines. Lamay/Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, April 16, 2009 and Friday, April 17, 2009 commencing at 6:00 p.m. and concluding at the request of the family. Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, evening. All will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Reverend Father Rainerio Sarce celebrant. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington Street. Interment in Glen Eden Cemetery following the service.
