BERNICE ISABEL MANCHUR (nee BLANCO) Peacefully on April 7, 2009 surrounded by her children and grandchildren, Bernice our mother, grandma and great-grandma left us to be reunited with her husband Nicholas Manchur (predeceased 1986). Mom was born in Sanford, Manitoba on June 26, 1927 (one of eight children) to William and Isabel Blanco. Mom was loved dearly and will be sadly missed be her five children, Della Manchur, Sarianna (Kevin) Smith, Brenda (Brian) Murphy, Garth (Lynn) Manchur, Melody (Don) Brown; grandchildren, Christopher, Jason (Joelle) and Adam Murphy, Chelsea Rafferty, Alana and Kyra Brown; and great-grandchildren Aidan and Jonathan. Bernice married Nicholas Manchur in 1950. They lived, farmed and raised their family in Oak Bluff. Mom worked at Eaton's prior to marrying and after that family was her top priority. Mom often told us stories about barn dances and oh how mom loved to dance. Bernice was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always had a smile and loved to sing. She was an excellent cook and baker. She loved flowers and spent many hours planting, weeding and watering them. Mom will be sadly missed but we know she is happy now that she is dancing with dad. Mom Mom touched all of our hearts And she will never really be gone; She will always be there A celebration of Mom's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13 in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any children's charity of your choice.
