CAROLYNN MAY TUGWELL (WILSON) It is with great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of Carolynn May Tugwell at the Women's Hospital on Monday, April 6, 2009. Mom was born on November 11, 1939 in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Robert W. Tugwell (Dad); her mother and father Mary and Alexander Wilson; Aunt Jessie and Aunt Alice. She is survived by her eight children: Randall, Rodney (Michael), Rick (Vicki), Laurie (Jamie), Cynthia, Christopher, Jason (Kristi), Michael (Menolly); grandchildren: Karilee (Jamie), Brandy (D.J.), Justin, Bradley, Sarah, Matthew, Breanne, Grant, Adam, Katelyn, Jonathan, Nicolas, Lily, Emma, Ava; and great-grandchildren: Tyler, Jessica, Brittany and Camryn. Mom had an exceptionally full life and she always expressed how grateful she was to have experienced so much. She travelled to many places including England, France, Greenland, China and Singapore. She particularly treasured the time she flew on the Concorde. Mom lived for her family and especially enjoyed when we were together for birthdays, holidays and special occasions. She was a beautiful lady with class beyond compare; she was one of a kind. We are all very proud of how strong Mom was over the past two difficult years. We love you Mom and Grandma and words cannot express how much you will be missed. Special thanks to all of our friends who provided us with so much loving support and to the staff at both the Women's Hospital and Cancer Care Manitoba for your kindness. A family service was held on Wednesday, April 8, at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
