NICK MUZYKA After a lengthy illness Nick passed away on April 5, 2009 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 72. Nick is survived by his wife Stella of 52 years; son Mark; granddaughter Destiny and her mother Kendra; brothers, Peter (Anne), Andrew (Louise); sister Nell, and Tillie (Henry) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Grant (1988), his mother and father, sisters Ann, Lena, Olga. Nick was born in Dauphin, MB and grew up in Oak Brae, MB. His working life was spent in Winnipeg. He was employed by AEI Telecom for 20 years and then moved on to MTS from which he retired in 1998. Fishing and hunting were his passions. He spent his few years after retirement boating and fishing on Lake Manitoba. He was an avid traveler and covered most of Canada, United States and Mexico. His work took him to most towns and villages in Manitoba where he enjoyed interacting with the locals. He was a kind and gentle man who loved and cherished his family and will be greatly missed.
