OLGA (OLLIE) ADAMS (KOZUN) (nee KRASNIUK) Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Olga Ollie Adams on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Women's Hospital, at the age of 78 years. Remaining to forever cherish Olga's memory are her sons, Gary Kozun (Pat) of Red Deer, Don Kozun (Bev) and Dale Kozun (Barb) of Winnipeg; stepsons, Gerald Adams (Diane) and Michael Adams of Vancouver; grandchildren, Cameron Kozun of Calgary, Michelle Marchenko (Uri), Tim Kozun and great-granddaughter Joelle Marchenko of Winnipeg. She is also survived by sisters, Hazel of Port Alberni, Lillian of Edmonton, Violet (Bill) of Waterloo, Gloria (Lawrence) of Aylmer and Debbie (Gerald) of Aaron ; brother Mel of Palm Springs, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Kelso Adams; parents Steve and Francis Krasniuk and brother Russell Krasniuk. Ollie was born in Dobrolwody, SK and grew up in the Canora, SK area. She eventually settled in Winnipeg working and raising her family. After retiring from MTS in 1985 she began enjoying what life had to offer. Ollie loved camping and spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, bingo, square dancing and junkets to various casinos. She will sadly be missed by all. Ollie's funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. in the Assiniboia Christian Centre, 3390 Portage Avenue at Rouge Road. A special thank you to all the staff on the 5th floor of the Women's Hospital for making Ollie's passing as peaceful and painless as possible. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My Auntie Ollie (same name as my mother) was a great Mom and aunt. I will always remember her smile, her clean home. She was always nicely groomed and dressed, and loved to play bingo. She loved all 3 of her sons (my cousins) dearly, and if she would have had a daughter, she would have had her dressed up all sweet, pretty, and modestly, I am sure. - Posted by: Diana (Kemp) Robbins (Niece) on: Aug 30, 2014
