BRIGITTE (KITTY) KING Surrounded by her family Kitty went peacefully into the arms of our Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving husband and soul mate of 52 years, Leonard, her six children; Diana (Steve), Brian (Monika), Susan (Peter), Gary (Tammy), Kenny (Connie) and Kathy. She also leaves to treasure her memory 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters and many extended family members. Mom was predeceased by her parents and five siblings. Kitty was born on July 4, 1929 in Templeburg, Germany. She met the love of her live in Iserlohn while he was stationed there and they were married on July 22, 1957 returning to Canada a short time later to begin raising her family. Mom will be remembered for her love of chocolate, music, family gatherings, and affection for her puppies, but mostly her devotion for her husband. A memorial service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2009 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The King family is grateful for the care Mom received at Riverview Health Centre, The Concordia Hospital and Deer Lodge. Thank you to Mom's Home Care Companions at Rivereast Access and her roommate Dawn. A very special thank you to the Grace Hospital Emergency and I.C.U. Staff. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manitoba Lung Association or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
