LEONA MARIE YVONNE KRECZKOWSKI (nee CYR) 1925 - 2009 Peacefully on April 12, 2009, Leona passed away in Concordia Hospital at the age of 83. Leona was predeceased by her father Fidela Cyr, mother Leona Cyr, husband Walter, son Maurice, sisters and brothers. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving sisters, Diane, Marion; daughter Doreen; five sons, Clifford, Dominique (Lillian), Louis (Olga), Gerald (Camellia), Fred (Kim), daughter-in-law Judy; and the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren she dearly loved. Leona loved to cook, meeting for coffee, going to Bingo, doing puzzles and watching a variety of movies. She will always be remembered as a warm, kind and giving person. Leona will be missed by all that knew her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leona's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 17, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
