FREDA HAUSE (nee WILLE) Peacefully in her sleep at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg, Freda passed away on April 13, 2009 at the age of 95 years. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, John, son Donald, daughter-in-law Lynda, father John, mother Olga, sisters, Edna, Alma, Margaret and brother Harvey. Her memory will be forever cherished by her son Kenneth, daughter-in-law Beverley, grandchildren, Bryan (Lealyn), Darryl (Kelly), Todd (Theresa), Kurtis (Jennifer), Kristin (Jamie), great-grandchildren, Laurel, Brayen, Mathew, Kaylyn and Hayley, as well as many nieces and nephews. Freda loved gardening and spending her time at the family cottage at Betula Lake. She knew all the best blueberry patches in the area. Although she was challenged by several physical disabilities her strength of character always prevailed. In recent years her signature farewell of I love you dear was heard by anyone leaving after a visit. She was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. Sincere thanks to the homecare workers who treated Freda more like a loved one than a client once they got to know her and to the staff at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg for their compassionate care during her short stay there. A memorial service will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery, on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Celebrant Donna Sorokowski officiating. Donations, in lieu of flowers,,may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
