ELEONORE GENDRON (nee PUJO) 1909 - 2009 How fortunate for us to have had nearly 100 years together, prior to your peaceful leaving on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Foyer Valade. She was predeceased by her husbands, Oscar Gendron and Wilfred Gendron, her daughter, Mona Fournier, her sons, Maurice and Denis Gendron. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Armand (Jeanne) Gendron, Louis (Elaine) Gendron, Elianne (Fred) Malko, Marcel (Julia) Gendron, Cecile (Allan) MacDonald, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, daughter-in-law Irene (Pinette) Gendron, and sisters-in-law, Jeannette Pujo and Blanche Gendron. Eléonore (Mignonne) was born on June 22, 1909 to Albert Pujo and Elise Thonus at Woodridge, MB. Eléonore was a deeply religious person attending St. Emile Church until she took up residence at Foyer Valade seven years ago. Her spiritual needs were a very important part of her life. She loved to cook and gather the family for large Christmas and New Year's celebrations. She loved to spend time reminiscing the days in St. L'abre. The time spent socializing with family; friends and neighbours were special to her. Sewing for the family was her other passion. She enjoyed the daily get-togethers and social club activities at the Foyer. She was grateful for the care and compassion the staff at Foyer Valade showed her. The strength and patience she displayed during the recent weeks will continue to be a source of inspiration to her family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses and staff at Foyer Valade. Your amazing support has been immensely appreciated. Funeral Mass in honour of her life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Emile Church, 556 St. Anne's Road. A private interment will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery.
