HENRY GAUTHIER

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY GAUTHIER Surrounded by his family and friends on Tuesday, December 21,1999 at the Grace hospital, Mr Gauthier peacefully went to his eternal rest at the age of 59 years. He was the beloved husband of Mrs Helen Gauthier of Woodlands, MB. On March 26,1940, Henry was born in Winnipeg. In 1960 he married Helen Molnar and relocated to Gillam, MB. There Henry became employed with Kettle Construction where he was part of the team that constructed several hydroelectric dams over a nine year period. Helen,Henry and their two sons, Dwaine and Darcy, enjoyed their time in Gillam with many fond memories of fishing, camping, coaching hockey and snowmobiling. In 1978, the family returned to Winnipeg. For the past 19 years Henry has been an asset to Air Canada. Not only was he an exemplary employee, but he was also a person whom others would confide in and turn to in times of trouble. Henry was very dedicated to the role he played at the Glendale Golf Club. He made friends easily and kept them for life. His kindness and abundant patience endeared him to all that had the honour of knowing him. He was always very close to his family and cherished the time they spent together. Henry found joy in the smallest pleasures. A simple task, so long as shared with family, became a valued memory. He took great pride in both of his sons and was very involved in their unbringing, contributing generously to the fine young men they have become. Special to his heart and always bringing a smileto his face, were Henry’sgrandchildren. He and Helen shared their lives together with joy,t hrough good times and bad and always relied on each other for strength. Henry will always be loved and remembered by his best friend and wife of 39 years ,Helen; sons, Dwaine (Jan) and Darcy; two grandchildren, Justin and Samantha;sisters Therese Zinn, Jeannette (Michel)Laferriere, and Henriette; brothers, Rene, Elie, Marcel(Betty), Roger,Roland (Reava); as well as numerous Godchildren, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Elida (1997) and Raymond (1973); sisters, Armande( at birth), Simone (1950), Malvina (1994) and by Irene (1998). Prayers will be said on Tuesday, December 28 at 7:00 pm in the St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320 St. Charles Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 29 at 10:00 a.m. Also in the church, with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H.V.F., celebrant, and Rev. Fr. Isaie Blanchette, O.M.I, Con-Celebrant.I nterment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Henry’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Henry’s family has entrusted his arrangements to the care of WOJCIK’s FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 897-4665.
