FLOYD HETHRINGTON LILLIES 1917 - 2009 Peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 Floyd Lillies passed away at Bethania House Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents, eight brothers and sisters and his first wife Ada. He leaves to mourn his wife of 50 years, May Lillies; niece Doreen Guenette; great-nieces, Michelle (Scott) Smith, Nicola (David) Beaudry, Brenda (Glenn) Steele and Terry-Lynn (Cameron) Livingstone; great-nephew Christopher Guenette; great-great-nieces, Lauren, Ericka, Nikki, Sarah and Davina; great-nephews, Brendan, Christian, Jackson and Scott, as well as many extended family in other provinces. Floyd grew up in the small town of St. Claude, Manitoba. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Floyd married May Watkins on August 2, 1958 and spent their lives together in Winnipeg and British Columbia. He worked for Versatile and retired from Pioneer Electric at the age of 65. Floyd loved to travel to Hawaii and Las Vegas; he also enjoyed fishing, watching the Blue Jays, and building and fixing things. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with Pastor Gerhard Friesen officiating. Public viewing will start at 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers: Christopher Guenette, David Beaudry, Brendan Beaudry, Scott Smith, Cameron Livingstone and Gerald Costello. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethania House Personal Care Home or George Guenette Endowment Fund, St. Boniface Hospital Research. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
