Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS IRENE CAMPBELL (nee VINE) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gladys Campbell on April 14, 2009 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth; her parents Alfred and Gertrude Vine; and brother Jim. Mom was born in Brandon on October 30, 1918. She grew up in Winnipeg and married Ken December 12, 1941. They lived in St. James for 35 years. Mom worked at Sears Polo Park in the candy department from its opening day, for 19 years. She was a member of North Kildonan United Church, and was a resident of Middlechurch Nursing Home. Mom loved to spend time with her family, travel, play bingo and cards. She was caring, thoughtful and patient. She always had a smile on her face, and never complained. She leaves to mourn her daughters: Bonnie (Pete), and Gay (James); grandchildren: Dan, Michael (Tavia), Shannon (Clint), Kim (Bevan), and Jeff (Emma); as well as great grandchildren: Benjamin, Kiersten, Matthew Anderson, Cole, and Cameron. Thanks to the staff of 4th floor Unit 3, Seven Oaks Hospital and especially Middlechurch staff on 2B for the wonderful care they gave Mom. Funeral Services will be 9:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2009 at North Kildonan United Church, 174 Pentland. Interment to follow in Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, donations may be made to the North Kildonan United Church Memorial Fund.
