PHYLLIS MARIE MITCHELL Peacefully on Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 in Misericordia Personal Care Home at the age of 88 years. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Alex in 1979. Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her daughter Gail from Sylvan Lake, Alberta, one sister Dorothy and numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis was born in Maryfield, Saskatchewan in 1920. She married Alex in 1954 and they raised their family in Winnipeg. She spent many years working at Eaton's in the mail order area and also as a dental assistant in the remainder of her career. Mom will be remembered as a sweet, kind and caring individual who loved to be around people. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9.
