ELLEN MCEWEN Ellen McEwen, nee Petrie, passed away in Victoria, BC on April 10, 2009. Born in Pollakshaws, Glasgow, Scotland in 1913, Ellen is survived by her daughter Anne Marie, as well as niece Anne Foreman and nephew Tom Smith (Linda) and their families in Australia. She was predeceased by her parents, Anne and James Petrie as well as her sister Mary Smith and niece Susan Smith, both of Australia. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Franciscan Friary, 1076 Joan Crescent, Victoria, BC at 10:00 a.m. Ellen had a lifelong concern and love for all animals and, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg R3T 9Z9 would be appreciated. First Memorial Funeral Services in care of arrangements.
