Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINDA MCKAY It is with great sadness that the family of Linda McKay announces her passing on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at the age of 61. Linda was predeceased by her mother and father Olaf and Wyatt Polson and brother Robert. She will be deeply missed by her husband Bob; sons, Rob and Rick (Megan), granddaughters Vanessa and Emily and grandson Demelash. Linda was born in Winnipeg on October 17, 1947. She grew up in Langruth and Neelin, MB and married Bob on August 13, 1966. They lived in Lac du Bonnet for 41 years. Linda was an artist and enjoyed sketching, painting and needlework. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time tending to her flowerbeds. Linda enjoyed spending time with family and friends, particularly her grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor which she shared with everyone she met. Linda was a great cook and loved to make jams, jellies and other preserves. Cremation and a private service have taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association, 825 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5 or a charity of one's choice. Linda and I were playmates - my parents George and Ruth Hall were close friends with Ola and Wyatt. We last saw them all at Linda and Bob's wedding, but Linda and I kept in touch over the years. When the 2009 Christmas letter did not arrive and mine was returned, I thought they had moved as planned and that I would hear from Linda in 2010. Today, February 21, 2011, I have found them in the obituaries and it is with profound sadness that I send my condolences.
