LLOYD GEORGE (LARRY) FRASER August 6, 1924 - April 13, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of an outstanding husband and father Larry on April 13th, 2009 at Moog Hospice House in Penticton, B.C. with his wife Jeanne by his side. Larry was born and raised in Transcona, Manitoba predeceased by his father George, Mother Kathleen and brothers Mervin, Bryan and Lyle. Survived by his wife Jeanne, sons Larry (Rhonda) Grant (Kim) and Curt (Rhonda), sisters Georgeen Harris (Arthur), Veronica Fraser, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. As a teenager Larry joined the Canadian Navy during the Second World War serving aboard HMCS Guysborough-Minesweeper which was sunk in the English Channel on March 17, 1945. After the services he attended the University of Manitoba studying Business Administration. He became a junior partner in Wiggins Adjustments Ltd and took over the company in 1958 expanding to six branch offices in western Canada. He was an avid pilot auditing his company by air. He also was a musician, leading his own band in Vancouver in the 70s. He was the author of two published books - Crossroads Capers in 1998 and The Dugald Disaster in 2002. He recently completed a teen novel Kelly Larkin In Space . Larry was proud to support and serve with the Gyro Club, Rotary, Masonic Lodge and Khartum Temple Shrine Oriental Band as the leader. He will be dearly missed by his family and the many friends who knew him. No service at Larry's request. Donations to charity of choice. Arrangements with Everden Rust Funeral Services.
