BRIAN JOSEPH (BJ) KEVANY January 4, 1959 - April 14, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Joseph Kevany announces his peaceful passing, with his wife by his side after a difficult struggle with cancer. Brian was a loving son, father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his three children: Madilyne, Daniel, and Andrew and beloved wife and best friend, Helen Ducharme. Brian also will be remembered for his good humour and great kindness by his father James Patrick Kevany, mother, Rosemary (Sheridan) Kevany, brothers and sisters, Sean, Barb (Dominic), Patsy (Greg), Brendan, Peggy (Luc), Kathleen (Bill), Sheila (Terry), Michael, and Breeda (Steve), as well as loved by several nieces and nephews, one great nephew and aunts and uncles. He will also be missed by his in-laws of the Ducharme Family. Brian was born January 4, 1959 in London, Ontario. He was 4th in line out of 10. At 17 he joined the army as a Peacekeeper of which he was very proud. At 21 he left the forces to pursue a career in Cable TV maintenance. He was the Cable Guy, affectionately known as The Captain . He invoked the Shaw service pillars with integrity. He travelled and worked all across Ontario and Manitoba. He married Helen in 1989 and in 1994 they settled in Winnipeg and had three beautiful children. Together they built a loving network of friends, their Manitoba family. The family would like to thank the caring staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers donations will be greatly appreciated for the Kevany children's education fund. Funds can be donated at the funeral or at TD Canada Trust.
