MARJORIE ENID SANSOM (nee ALLEN) Peacefully, at her home, on Friday morning, April 17, 2009 at the age of 83 years, Marjorie passed away. Marjorie was predeceased on April 19, 2007 by her husband Bill and earlier by her sister Helen and brother Ray. She is survived by her son Allen (Karen), step-daughter June DuVal (Jim), and sister Beatrice Allen. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Marjorie was born on May 4, 1925 in Killarney to Constance and William Allen. They moved to Crystal City where she went to school and later moved to Winnipeg. She loved her work at Sears - Polo Park in the girls and teens department where she made many friends. Marjorie retired from there after many years as a part-time employee. Mom and Dad lived for many years on Aubrey Street and on Oakdean Boulevard, where they enjoyed their time with friends and neighbors. They especially loved the times they had at their cottage at Whytewold Beach with family and friends. For the past five years, Marjorie lived in the Courts of St. James where she had many friends and loved the social times there. Marjorie was a great lover of animals, especially her dogs and cats. An informal gathering of family and friends are invited to celebrate Marjorie's life at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Ave. (across from Brookside Cemetery) on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place in the Crystal City Cemetery at a later date. Al and Karen wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Winnipeg Police and Paramedic Services for their care and compassion.
