PATRICIA MARY KROPLA (WALTERS) Peacefully on April 17, 2009 at St. Boniface Hospital, with her family at her side, Patricia passed away at the age of 83. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Bud (Edward), and her sister Doreen Cicci, Patricia leaves to mourn her passing her seven children, Bill (Linda), Dave (Wilma), Debby (Frank), Bob (Jean), Don (Gloria), Jamie (Kathy) and Doug (Thérèse), and her 16 beloved grandchildren, Alex, Brody, Marcus, Isobelle, Trisha, Kim (Jon), Amanda, Andrea, Michael, Elliot, Elise, Tannis (Richard), Lisa (Brad), Janine, Jordan, and Ashley. Pat is survived by her sisters Gladys (Ivan) Cheverie, Jess (Cec) Chronister, and her sister-in-law Helen Kropla, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Pat was born in Winnipeg on June 30, 1925. Mum began her working life at T. Eaton's in downtown Winnipeg, before marrying our Dad on January 22, 1949 and starting a family. Afterwards, she returned to work and enjoyed a long and interesting career with Revenue Canada, where she made many lifelong friends. She loved their Rummoli nights . Mum and Dad enjoyed many summers with the family at their cottage at Lee River. Mum spent her retirement sharing many exciting adventures with her children and grandchildren from camping in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario to visiting with them across Canada, from Vancouver to Halifax. She also enjoyed trips to England, France, New Zealand and the Caribbean. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 255 Stafford at Corydon. Inurnment to take place at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia's memory to CancerCare Manitoba. Mum is still the glue that holds us all together; her children and grandchildren, family and friends, she was home to all who knew her. She epitomized grace and unconditional love; her greatest joy was her family. Mum's knack of making each and every one feel treasured and special will be missed by everyone who had the great privilege of knowing her. Being loved by Pat was wonderfully special. We love you Mum. Muuuuum? Mum! CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
