PHYLLIS MUDRY (nee MARTINI) August 31, 1927 - April 18, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother and Grandmother, Phyllis Mudry on Saturday April 18, 2009 at the age of 81. Left to cherish her memory are her son Don (Kerrie); daughter Elaine (Orest); grand-children Mike (Heather) and Leann (Richard); sister Martha Graham; sisters-in-law Stephanie Wawyn-Stiller and Mary Evenson of Penticton, BC. She will also be missed by numerous relatives and friends. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband John in 2002, sister Bernice Horosko and brother Joe Martini. Phyllis will always be remembered as a warm, kind and giving person. She enjoyed baking, gardening, drawing, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends. Being a nature lover, you could often find Mom in her backyard feeding the neighbourhood birds and squirrels. She also enjoyed her outings with the Charleswood Day Club and the numerous friends she made during her time there. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakview Place for their kind and compassionate care of Phyllis. Also, a special thank you to her neighbours for their kindness over the years. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Pallbearers are Mike Mudry, Leann Cameron, Richard Cameron, Orest Strzelbicki, John Rempel, and George Drad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB. R3T 0R3. A Heart of Gold A heart of gold stopped beating, working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove He only takes the best. Leaves and flowers may wither, the golden sun may set, But the hearts that loved you dearly are the ones that won't forget. Chapel Lawn 885-9715
