MARY CAMPBELL Peacefully on April 18th, 2009 at Victoria General Hospital passed away at the age of 89 years. Mary was born May 22, 1919 in Leiston England. She served in the Land Army and came to Canada following the Second World War in 1945 as a war bride. Mary was predeceased by her husband Jim Campbell whom she married in 1944. Mary and Jim lived on Fleet Avenue in Winnipeg for many years and loved the friendship and support from the neighbours including Jeannie and Jerry. Mary is survived by her three daughters Sandra Anseeuw (Lawrence - grandchildren Jeffrey and Lori - great grandson Matthew), Susan Gillespie (David - grandchildren Pamela and James) and Shawn Gould (Bill - grandson Michael). Mary will be sorely missed by her sister-in-law Patricia Munro. The family extends special thanks to the staff at Victoria General Hospital and Tuxedo Villa which Mary called home for the past four years. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday April 23, at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society would be greatly appreciated as Animals especially all her boys were the love of Mary's life.
