ROBERT DONALD MCKAY It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our father, Robert (Bob) McKay on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Bob was predeceased by his wife Linda (April 14, 2009), mother and father Florence and Gordon McKay, brother-in-law Lorne Preston and sister-in-law Margaret McKay. He is survived by his sons Rob and Rick (Megan); grandchildren Vanessa, Emily and Demelash; sister Margaret Preston; brothers Charlie and Bill (Linda) McKay and many nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Killarney, MB on October 21, 1946. He married Linda Polson on August 13, 1966 and then moved to Lac du Bonnet to work and start a family. Bob was active in the community and was involved with the Lac du Bonnet Fire Department and the Lions Club. Throughout their 42 years together, they made numerous friends. A memorial service for Bob and Linda will be held on Friday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lac du Bonnet Legion, Lac du Bonnet, MB with Rev. Jake Doell presiding. Interment of cremains will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at the Concordia Hospital Emergency and 3rd floor NW wing for their kindness and thoughtfulness that they showed our father in his last few days.
