JOHN ANDREW EAGLE July 11, 1939 - March 23, 2009 John Eagle died peacefully in Edmonton, his home for 41 years. In 2006 he retired from the University of Alberta after 33 years as a professor of Canadian History. He is survived by his wife Margaret; daughter Jennifer; son David and his wife Alison and his two beloved grandchildren, the lights of his life. He is lovingly remembered by his sister Moira and her husband Lloyd Skelding and their son Andrew and his family. John's passing leaves a great void in the lives of family and friends. John's family established a graduate scholarship at the University of Alberta.
