RENNIE STOPCHYCKI January 27, 1935 - April 18, 2009 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear father, with his loving family at his side at the age of 74. Rennie was predeceased by his beloved soul mate and best friend, his wife Angie on March 16, 2009. They had just celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on February 2, 2009. Along with his recently diagnosed illness with leukemia and ongoing heart condition, Dad was experiencing a broken heart from the recent loss of Mom. He will be dearly missed by his five children; Janice (Cory) Graumann, Judith (Gary) Henriksen, Sam (Bill) Backstrom, Jerry (Donna), and Sue (Rob) Paziuk. Rennie is also lovingly remembered by his eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Kosiw, Ukraine in 1935, he immigrated to Canada in 1948 living in Winnipeg, MB, for 51 years where he spent seven of those years at Winnipeg Beach, MB, before moving to Winfield in 1998. His greatest pleasures were spending time with his wife and children, camping, skiing, singing and being close to nature. Rennie loved to work, whether it be at his career as an auto body business owner; building his dream log home, creating his garden of Eden, or working out at the gym. He was very dedicated and actively involved in the AA Association since 1994. A celebration of Rennie's life was held in Winfield, BC, on Saturday, April 25, 2009.
