Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLARRY WESLEY MICHAYLOW November 11, 1953 With dignity and courage, Larry was taken from us suddenly on Monday, April 20, 2009. Remaining to forever cherish his memory are his sons, Rory, Mark and Jonathan; sister Diane and brother-in-law Dennis Bell; Godmother Aunt Lydia Kisil; Auntie Jennie and Uncle Donnie Smith; lifelong friends Roman, Larry, Pat and Gerry in Dauphin. Larry was instrumental in the family business Holmes Auto Service for many years as an Automotive Technician. Larry worked in all aspects of the business and traveled extensively to automotive conferences. Larry continued throughout his career constantly upgrading his education in the field. Larry enjoyed watching sports and attending many dinners at his sister and brother-in-law's and at his aunts'. As Larry was growing up he learned responsibility very quickly and always had a part time job, after graduating school his career started in the family business. Larry enjoyed many years of being a very active member of Roadmaster Car Club. His passion was restoring Corvettes and attending car shows with friends in Winnipeg and throughout the U.S. Larry took many 1st prizes home for his achievements. Larry spent many years at the family cottage water skiing and enjoying friends and instigating innocent pranks. Larry professionally danced with Meros Leckow Ukrainian Dancers of Winnipeg. Larry always loved animals especially his German Shepherd and Borzoi (Russian Wolfhounds) traveling to dog shows in Canada and the U.S., Larry traveled extensively through the U.S., Canada, Iceland and Russia. Larry will be sadly missed by Abbigail, Ohlana, Ming, Ebony, Utah and Bogart. On Wednesday, April 29, Larry's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Alexander Harkavyi, presiding. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Avenue. Donations may be made in Larry's memory to the Winnipeg Human Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3T 0R3. Larry mentioned many times The older you get the better you are!
