SALLY HILL (nee INGRAM) Suddenly on April 28, 2009, our mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away at Concordia Hospital at the age of 76. Sally was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Desmond, her mother Margaret and her father James. She will be missed by her children Alan (Debbie), Diane (Phil) and Carol, brother, Wallace Ingram and family, grandchildren, Chris, Kelly (Adam), Amanda, Stephan and Blake, as well as many other relatives and friends in Canada and Northern Ireland. Sally was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1932. She married Desmond Hill in 1955. In 1957 the family immigrated to Canada and settled in Winnipeg. After staying home to raise her family, Sally joined the workforce and started working at Eaton's in 1978 where she worked until her retirement in 1998. Since her retirement, Sally had been active with the Good Neighbour's Seniors Centre where she made many friends. At the centre she enjoyed line dancing, exercise classes and her volunteer time at the Treasure Cove. The family would like to thank the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and the staff at Concordia Hospital for their compassionate care. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to CancerCare Manitoba, or the Heart Stroke Foundation of Canada.
