Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILIA AFANASIEV Peacefully, on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, in Seven Oaks General Hospital, Emilia passed away at the age of 80 years. Emilia is survived by her brothers, Eddie, Felix, Wayne and George; stepsons, Constantine and Alexander; and many close friends. She was predeceased by her husband Leon; and stepson Walter. Emilia was born in Hendon, SK. After living in several cities across Canada, she met Leon in 1968 and settled in Manitoba. Viewing will take place on Monday, May 4 at Neil Bardal Inc., 3030 Notre Dame Avenue from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 5 at 10:00 a.m., at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Avenue and interment will follow in Moosehorn Cemetery.
