DONNA GAIL SMITH (nee MacTavish) It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Donna Gail Smith. Donna passed away peacefully after a long courageous fight with cancer on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Pinawa Hospital with her family by her side. Donna's smile and laughter will be sadly missed by her loving husband Dave of 34 years; sons Bill (Pam) and Mark; daughter Elizabeth; grandchildren, Brennen, Kyle, Daniel, Brent, and Jeffrey; stepchildren Doug (Carol), Diane (Rick) and Wayne (Nancy); brother Dennis (Peggy); sisters Sharon (Allan), Carol, and Terri (Bill); and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Suzanski and parents Emma and Bill MacTavish. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour with Rev. Ann Cooke officiating. The family would like to express our thanks to Dr. Wong and Dr. O'Garanko of St. Boniface Hospital, Dr. Harris of Concordia Hospital and Dr. Schmidt of Beausejour. Also a special thank you to Dr. Spence and the nursing staff at the Pinawa Hospital for their care and compassion over her final days with us. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to the Pinawa Cancer Care Clinic in memory of Donna.
