ANTHONY (TONY) ALBERT BACH (BACHYNSKI) On May 4, 2009 at the St. Boniface Hospital with his family by his side, God (Murray) called Tony home; at the age of 77 after suffering a heart event. Dad is survived by his loving wife Evelyn, children Michael (Cindy), Edward (Bonnie), Raymond (Karen), Roslyn (David Kornell), nine grandchildren, three great-grandsons and nieces, nephews, family and friends. Dad had a special place in his heart for all of his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Rosalia Bachynski, in-laws, Stanley and Nellie Grzebeniak, brother Edward Bachynski, sister Jeanette Trupish, brother-in-law Ron Grzebeniak, sister-in-law Cheryle Grzebeniak. Dad was born on June 28, 1931 in the North End of Winnipeg and resided there for most of his life. Dad was introduced to Mom by his sister, on Boxing Day 1952. They were married on October 30, 1954. Dad had a unique sense of humor that we all grew to love or.... Dad enjoyed many years of poker parties with the gang, breakfasts with the boys and watching wrestling with Chris while mom was at Bingo. Dad was employed within the telecommunications industry for most of his working years - first at AEI telecommunications then retiring from MTS in 1996. He was fortunate enough to have traveled across Canada and a few exotic places around the world with his employment. Dad was passionate in his recreational workshop and when he built something it was made to last unfortunately his heart was not. He was also a late blooming drummer leading the Bach Four for many years; this was some of Dad's proudest moments spent with his three sons. Now while the boys supplied the music and Mom was the glue that kept the home together while dad was away working to support his family, his only daughter Rossie was the apple of his eye. The family would like to thank the following for their valiant efforts in trying to help Dad through his final hurdle: Roger, Rachel and Chris, the Firemen and Paramedics, St. Boniface Hospital M/SICU E2, especially the nurses that made Dad's last few days as comfortable as possible along with helping the family cope with this unexpected tragedy. Honorary Pallbearers are: Borden Semkiw, Gordie Bryant, Bill Narynski, Boris Kohut, Roger Rieu and Chris Olynyk. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden, 4477 Main Street, Winnipeg, with a reception to follow. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
