KATHERINE PAULINE MCQUARRIE (nee Shestko) On Sunday morning at the Health Science Centre, surrounded by family, Kay passed away at the age of 75 years. Kay leaves to mourn, three daughters, Bonnie Plante, Susan (Brian) Henry and Angela (Blaine) Ursel; four sons Gerald (Linda) McQuarrie, Patrick M. McQuarrie, Terry Shestko and Randy Shestko; nine grandchildren, Melanie, Danielle, Chris, Kelly, Corey, Jennie, Vannessa, Brittney and Blaine Jr.; six great grandchildren, Jacklyne, Angel, Shane, Monica, Harley and Kaiden. She also leaves to mourn her passing, brothers Stephen (Merna) and Joe (Audrey) Shestko and many family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John McQuarrie and common-law husband Nester Balasko. Kay enjoyed music, bowling, socializing with family and friends, stamp collecting, and collecting tree angels. Kay worked at the Law Courts Building as a Librarian until her retirement. The family would like to thank the staff at SICU at the Health Science Centre. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
