GENA JEFFRIES It is with sadness that the family of Gena Jeffries announce her passing on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bonnie (Peter) of Winnipeg, Pat of Toronto, Bob (Glory) of Aurora; grandchildren, Suzanne (Paul), Jeffrey, Roger and Scott; and great-grandchildren, Evan and Anya. She was predeceased by her husband Albert and siblings Eileen, Gerry, Ramona, Shirley, Jack and Roland. Mom was born in Listowell, Ontario, June 1, 1917 and spent most of her life in the Toronto area growing up, mainly in Long Branch and raising her family in Etobicoke. She retired to downtown Toronto. She had a well deserved and full retirement finally having the time and opportunity to enjoy her love of the ballet, her books, her travels and her family. Mom's unconditional love and strength held our family together through both difficult and happy times. Her sense of humour and sense of fun served her well throughout her life until her final days. Our family would like to pass on our sincere appreciation for the loving care and support given to both Mom and her family over the past years at Grace Hospital and Heritage Lodge. You gave her the gift of dignity in her last years. We are so grateful. A celebration of Mom's life will take place Tuesday, May 12 at Thomson In the Park , 1291 McGillivray Blvd. at 2:00 p.m. Rest in Peace Mom.
